"Metal Attraction" is the eighty-first episode of DuckTales.
Synopsis[]
Gyro builds a robot maid named Robotica to assist Mrs. Beakley, but problems arise when Robotica falls in love with Gizmoduck.
Notes[]
- This is the only DuckTales episode in which both Bubba and Fenton appear, though they never actually share the screen except in the photo.
- The Singing Chocolates' song is sung to the tune of "The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down", a song written in 1937 by Cliff Friend and Dave Franklin, best known for its use as the theme music for Looney Tunes.
- Fenton makes a reference to Dumbo when he tries to distract Gandra and Robotica by shouting, "Look! A flying elephant!"
- The title is a reference to the film Fatal Attraction.
Memorable quotes[]
Gandra: [noticing the heart with initials drawn on the Money Bin] Hey I wonder who "R & G" could be? Fenton: Yaaaaa! Not the Money Bin! Gandra: I bet half the city can see it. Fenton: It'd better not be the half with Mr. McDuck! |
"Gizmoduck loves Gandra? That cad! That scoundrel! When I get my hands on him--wait, what am I saying?! I am Gizmoduck!" |
