The Disney Afternoon is a soundtrack album featuring songs from the four shows featured featured in the first season of the weekday afternoon syndication block of the same name - Adventures of the Gummi Bears, DuckTales, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, and TaleSpin.
Of the songs featured on the album, two of the TaleSpin songs appear to be created specifically for the album and were not featured in any episode of the show. However, "Friends for Life" was later used in the The Disney Afternoon Live!: Plane Crazy stage show at Disneyland in 1991.
The album notably also features the song "Home is Where the Heart Is", which was featured in the original movie version of the TaleSpin pilot episode "Plunder and Lightning", but infamously edited out from reruns and the DVD release.
